Apunix's Rewritable Magneto-Optical Disk Subsystem features a removable 1.3 GB cartridge. The drive reads and writes cartridges in the ISO format. Average access time is 35 ms. The ease of bringing complete file systems online or offline quickly makes the magneto-optical useful for online database applications. Included is one 1.3 GB cartridge and Apunix's MObility(TM) Software Kit which includes Apunix's SCSI device driver that enables users to lock the door while the drive is in use and to optionally turn off the verify pass to improve throughput.
